Before the mailing
- Build your opt-in list by collecting user registrations on your Web site.
- Get an SMTP server
- Get a tracking server
Send the mailing
- Upload images to Web server
- Compose your message
- Add your physical address at the bottom
- Test with recipients’ email programs
- Test with spam filters
- Repeat:
- Send a portion of the mailing
- Check response and unsubscribe rates and optimize
- Process bounces and unsubscribes
Analyze the results
- From the Reports tab, compare link click and unsubscribe rates vs. historical rates.
- Analyze how the mailing could be improved before sending the next mailing.
- Wait a minimum of 4 weeks before large mailings to keep customers happy and minimize unsubscribe rates.
